Gentile, Larry S., 77, of New Port Richey, Fla., formerly of Weirton, W.Va., passed away, Monday, Dec. 28, 2009, in Morton Plant North Bay Hospital in New Port Richey. He was born January 06, 1932, in Thomas, W.Va., a son of the late Ilario and Rose M. (Sagace) Gentile. He was a retiree from Weirton Steel having worked in the Strip Steel department and was a member of the 25-Year Club. He had a tremendously big heart and a great sense of humor. He enjoyed most all sports, including hunting and fishing, and was a faithful fan of the Cleveland Browns. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James A. Gentile. Survivors include two daughters, Rita (Jim) Rood and Kathleen R. Tirrabassi, both of Weirton; three sons, Larry J. Gentile of Osteen, Fla., Anthony (Rita) Gentile of St. Clairsville, Ohio, Sammy (Karen) Gentile of Nashville, Tenn.; ten grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a brother, Joseph (Jeanette) Gentile and a sister, Catherine Iorio, both of Cleveland, Ohio; several cousins, nieces, nephews, and many good friends. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
