Mrs. Beulah C. Walker, 61, a former employee of Greer Nursing Home and an Orofino resident since 1961, died yesterday at 6:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Hospital. She had been admitted 12 hours earlier, but she had been ill for three months.

 

She and her husband, Everett Walker, had ranched on Bobbit Bench near Peck for 14 years before moving to Orofino. She was employed at the nursing home from 1963 to 1966.

 

She was born Dec. 25, 1910, at Greer, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Freeman Reed. She grew up there and was married to Walker Sept. 19, 1932, at Asotin. They lived at Greer, and he was employed by the Idaho State Department of Highways and the Greer Pole Co. until they moved to the ranch.

 

Survivors include her husband at Orofino, two sons, Howard, Weippe, and Gary, Kirkland, Wash.; four grandchildren; a brother, Lester Reed, Cottonwood; two half-brothers, Kenneth Stockard, Orofino, and Rick Stockard, Lewiston, and a halfsister, Mrs. Florence Groge, Lewiston.

 

The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Gilbert's Chapel at Orofino. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Orofino.
