The beloved wife of the late Paul C. Newfield Jr., the mother of Paul Newfield III (Nancy), Bonnie N. Burke (the late Wallace V. Burke, Jr.), Michael A. Newfield (Gail) and Mary Caroline N. Garland.
"Reetsie" was the proud grandmother of Shannon Burke, Charlotte N. Laihonen, Alexis B. Western, Aimee Newfield, Kathryn B. Reid, Wesley Burke, Blake Garland, Ryan Garland, John-Paul Newfield and Sidney Michelle Newfield.
Rita was the daughter of the late Joseph Voorhies Richard and Theresa Mire and sister of Dorothy Munchoff. She was also survived by seven great grandchildren.
