WELLINGTON - Darrell Wallberg, age 71, passed away June 6, 2005, at his home in Wellington surrounded by his family.
He was born Dec. 28, 1933, in Salt Lake City to Leland H. and Jenny Studham Wallberg. He married Darlene Giles Oct. 26, 1952 in Elko, Nev., later solemnized in the Vernal LDS Temple.
Darrell has been a truck driver all his life, since he was 12 years old. He loved spending time in the outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping, especially with his family. He enjoyed watching John Wayne westerns but most of all, he loved passing the time of day with the grandkids.
He is survived by wife, Darlene of Wellington; children, Melvin and Carol Wallberg of California; Darrell and Julie Wallberg of Nevada; Debra and Gary Motte of Wellington; Ronald and Delia Wallberg of Roosevelt; James Wallberg, Dona and Paul Hazelwood, all of Wellington; and Dwayne and Izora Wallberg of southern Utah; 55 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. Also survived by brother, Leland Wallberg; and sisters, Phyllis McDonald; Bonnie Chambliss, both of Carbonville; and Genevevie Wallberg of Salt Lake City.
Preceded in death by both parents; brothers, Raymond and Marvin; sisters, Melba, Josephine, Dorothy and Margie; granddaughter, Sandra Dee; and great-grandsons, Jason and Nathaniel.
Funeral services will be Saturday, June 11, 1 p.m. in the Wellington LDS Stake Center, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial, Wellington City Cemetery under the direction of Fausett Mortuary.
