Lucinda E. SHIRLEY moved with her parents as a small child from Barren Co, Kentucky to Hendricks Co, Indiana. It was there that she married (1st) to Franklin W. CARTER on 9d 11m 1854. They had a son John W. CARTER before he died. He seems to have survived to follow Lucinda and all of her full siblings to Putnam Co, Missouri and then he died there. Several years later Lucinda married (2nd) 15d 9m 1880 in Putnam Co, Missouri to Levi CLARK and died herself in 1894 as his wife or widow.
