Estelle Alpha Austin was born March 1888 in Greenville, SC, the third of eight children of David A. Austin (1853-1909) and Emma Rice Austin (1859-1914). She was married to Leafter Collester "Lester" Jenkins (1889-1957) on 19 November 1911 in Greenville County, SC. They had a daughter and a son. She died on 28 June 1936 in Ware Shoals, SC at the age of 48.
