Mrs. Flora Parks, 81, of West Salem,
died at 3:45 a.m. Friday in Lawrence
County Hospital.

Services were held Sunday, September 1,
at 1:30 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home
in West Salem with the Rev. Chris
Tate officiating. Burial was in the
Little Wabash •Cemetery.

She was born June 3, 1904, in Edwards
County, the daughter of George
Barnhart and Mary Deischer. She married
Howard Parks in December of 1949, and he
preceded her in death.

Survivors include one sister, Laura
Wiseman of West Salem; two sisters-
in-law, Carrie Barnhart, Olney, and Sylvia
Barnhart of West Salem.

She was also preceded in death by three
brothers, Wilbur, Henry and Joel; three sisters,
Elsie Hopper, Eliza Arterberry and Nellie Luthe;
and three half-sisters, Mary Luthe, Lora Mull
and Dollie Harris.

She was a member of the West Salem United
Methodist Church and an active member of the
West Salem Senior Citizens. She was employed
by Dr. Hiligenbert in Pesotum. She had been
a resident of ths Lawrenceville Methodist
Home since October of 1984.
