Wayne L. Bergenstock, 76, of Williamsport, passed away Mon. Jan. 6, 2014, at The Gatehouse at Divine Providence Hospital.
He was born Sept. 28, 1937, in Danville, the son of Cluster W. and Stella A. (Moser) Bergenstock.
He was the husband of the former Denise Harmon with whom he shared 47 years of marriage.
Wayne was a U.S. Army Reserve veteran.
He was a member of the Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Wayne was a Danville High School graduate and attended the Fork Union Military Academy in Virginia.
He was a construction supervisor for PennDOT 35 years and Larson Design 9 years.
Wayne was a member of the Danville-Mahoning Masonic Lodge No. 224 F&A.M. and the Valley of Williamsport Scottish Rite.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trap shooting and antique cars.
Surviving besides his wife Denise are two sons, Douglas Bergenstock, of Milton, and Keith (Jennifer) Bergenstock, of Allentown; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother, Robert Bergenstock Sr., of Danville; and two sisters, Carol Reedy and Joyce Llewellyn, both of Danville.
He was predeceased by a brother, Fred Bergenstock Sr., and a sister, Faye Llewellyn.
Wayne's Life Celebration service noon Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, at the James C. Maneval Funeral Home, Ltd., "A Life Celebration Home," 500 W. Fourth St., Williamsport, with Rev. David Letscher officiating. A visitation will be from 10 a.m. until noon at the funeral home.
Burial will be at the Montoursville Cemetery.
