Leonard "Bud" N. Stuke, 88, of Seneca, Kansas died on Monday, January 7, 2014 at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka, Kansas.

He was born on May 28, 1925 to Frank and Wihelmine "Minnie" Rochel Stuke on a farm southeast of Seneca. He attended Humphrey School and Sts. Peter & Paul School.

Bud married Cecila "Cedar" Marie Lehn on October 11, 1947 at St. Leo's Catholic Church in Horton, Kansas. Shortly after their union, the couple moved to the Stuke family farm where they have remained.

Bud simply loved farming and being outdoors and took great pleasure and pride in the livestock he raised and the crops he grew. He also enjoyed hunting. Bud was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and St. Joseph's Society.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Francis Stuke, Walter Stuke, Mary Steppe and Wilbur Stuke.

He is survived by his wife 66 years; sons, Stephen (Candy) Stuke of Sabetha and Michael (Donna) Stuke of Seneca; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.

Mass of Christian Burial is 11AM Friday, January 10, 2014 at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Seneca. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
