ALBERT CASEMENT, banker and stockman, was born near Three Rivers, Saint Joe County, Michigan, February 15, 1862, son of John C. and Mary Jane (Eddy) Casement. His father, a farmer and stockman, was born in Manchester, England, October 23, 1838 and died at Sedan, July 25, 1899. He came from the Isle of Man about 1850. His wife, Mary Jane, who was born near Three Rivers, November 28, 1840, was killed in a train wreck near Warrensburg, Missouri, October 10, 1904.

Mr. Casement attended public school in Kansas, grew up on the home farm and since reaching maturity has engaged in stock raising, farming and banking. At the present time he is president of the First National Bank of Sedan. He is a member of the First Baptist Church and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows.

On March 30, 1891, he was married to Ora Olive Floyd at Sedan. Mrs. Casement was born in Greenville, Illinois, September 5, 1867, daughter of Martin Van Buren and Nancy Ann (Steele) Floyd. There are six children John, born March 19, 1892, a farmer, is married to Hazel Viola Alroyd; Floyd, January 4, 1895; a farmer and stockman, married Hazel Leota Jay; Manley, May 23, 1900, a carpenter, married Beatrice Scott; Alma, December 2, 1896, is a teacher; Nella, April 26, 1905, is a stenographer and secretary of the First Baptist Church of Topeka; and Alan, February 11, 1906 who is in the grain business. Residence: Sedan.
