Frances Medina was called home to be with the Lord on Jan 5th 2014 as she was surrounded by the people she loved most, her family. Frances was born July 17, 1928 in Winslow, AZ to Ofelia and Roman Baca.
Frances married the love of her life Joe Medina Sr. and have been happily married for 63 yrs.
Joe and Frances lived in Cottonwood and Ajo for many years as they raised their 4 beautiful children, until they moved "home" to Winslow.
Frances held many things close to her heart, especially family and church. She sang in the church choir and had an amazing beautiful voice. She loved the "tiki tiki", camping, bingo, cooking and watching sports with her husband and children. She especially loved the Dallas Cowboys which is a household favorite she shares with her husband, children and grandchildren. Frances loved to help those in need who were close to her. Our beautiful angel will be greatly missed by those survived by her:
Her husband of 63 yrs. Joe Medina Sr., her best friend "Lucky". Sons Joe (Charlotte) Medina, Ernie (Jennifer) Medina and Bobby (Debbie) Medina, 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren 2 great great grandchildren; brother Lorenzo Baca, sisters Theresa Szewc, Lola Guiterez, many nieces, nephews, cousins and Godchildren.
Frances is proceeded in death by her daughter, Viola Montoya, brothers; Pete, Freddy, Thache, Tony and Raymond Baca, sisters Paula and Vele.
Holy Rosary for Frances Medina, 85, will be held Friday, January 10, 2014 at 9:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Madre De Dios Catholic Church. Celebrant Father Jeffrey King. Interment at Desert View Cemetery.
