Retired Road Supervisor Dies at Home
George T. Byers, 74, retired Washington County Road supervisor, employee of the State Highway Department, died at his home in Courtney this morning at 9:45 o'clock. He had been ill for the past three weeks.
A lifetime resident of this area, Mr. Byers was born May 26, 1885 at Elkhorn. He was a member of the Mingo Presbyterian Church.
Surviving with his wife Antoinette DeHosse Byers, are two sons, George H. Byers of Monongahela and Amos J. Byers of California, Pa.; one grandchild and one great-grandchild; one brother, John Byers of Wickerham Corners; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Bell of Monongahela and Miss Bertha Byers of Elizabeth.
Friends will be received at the L. M. Frye Funeral Home, 427 West Main Street, Monongahela.
