Nan Hatch Peterson
Nan Hatch Peterson, 91, loving mother of six grandmother of 34, great-grandmother of 78, and great-great grandmother of four, dear sister and friend, passed away peacefully Sept. 6, 2001, after a full rich life.
Born January 8, 1910 in West Bountiful, UT, the sixth child of True Bradford and Alice Barlow Hatch.
Married Clare Joseph Peterson in Los Angeles, CA. Oct. 23, 1929. Marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They were blessed with six children, JoAnn (John) Bryner, Gwen Judkins, Gary (Jackie) Peterson, Nola (Ken) Neeley, Richard (Geri) Peterson and David K. Peterson.
Nan and Clare later divorced, however, their posterity is their legacy of love.
Nan is also survived by two brothers Kent D. and Ralph C. Hatch.
Preceded in death by three sisters and six brothers. After raising her family, Nan returned to school receiving a nursing degree and retired from the LDS hospital after 15 yrs. of devoted service.
An active member of the LDS Church throughout her life, Nan served in many church callings. She loved handiwork and over 150 babies were recipients of her hand crocheted afghans. A strong and independent woman, she was a joy to be with and Grandma Nan's wisdom and wit will live on in her grandchildren. The family appreciates the loving care given by Elderly Manor and IHC Hospice.
Services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 15, 2001 at Russon Bros. Mortuary, 295 N. Main St., Bountiful, UT - with a viewing from 11:30 - 12:45.
Interment will be in the family plot at Bountiful City cemetery.
