Allen Earl Rains, 89, died Tuesday, March 15, 2011 in Oklahoma City. He was born January 18, 1922 in Purcell, Oklahoma, to Joseph Manning and Jennie Marie (Roberts) Rains. He went to Washington Public Schools and obtained an Associate Degree at Oklahoma City University as an Automotive Technician. Allen worked at Tinker Air Force Base from 1951 to 1980. He then worked as a carpenter at Willow Creek Country Club from 1982 until he retired in 1994. Allen was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Dorothy Holland, and twin brother, Slim. Survivors include his wife, Louise Rains; sons: Terry Rains and wife, Dede, and Bob Rains and wife, Dottie; daughters: Jane Stewart and husband, Rod; Teresa Bradshaw and husband, Daron, and Tamie Colston and husband, Dean; brothers, Jack and Billy Rains; sister, Mary Jo Gann; grandchildren: Gregg Stewart; Ben and Jeffrey Colston; Lesley Cotton; Gypsy Denton; and Erik and Jenna Bradshaw; and great grandchildren: Triton, Kyrann and Cavan Stewart and Brenan Cotton.
