LeGrande (Lee) W. Abbott 1919 ~ 2005 LeGrande (Lee) W. Abbott, age 86, died October 6, 2005 after a valiant fight with cancer. Born April 12, 1919, Salt Lake City, a son of Charles LeRoy and Bertha Irving Abbott. Married Marie Moynier, of Price, Utah June 7, 1948 in Great Falls, Montana. She passed away April 24, 1982. Lee worked for General Motors, Chevrolet Division from 1946 until 1964. After leaving G.M., he went to work for Salt Lake County Highway Department and retired as a district supervisor in 1983. During his retirement years he enjoyed the art of gardening and was known by many as a master gardener. Survivors are son, Gary, South Jordan; daughter, Carol Bartz (John), West Jordan; son, Greg, South Jordan; grandson, Jacob; and granddaughter, Alli; as well as five step-granddaughters. Many thanks to Hospice For Utah for their wise and expert care in making Dad's last few days as comfortable as possible. We will miss him deeply, but rejoice in knowing he is present with Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, October 11, 2005, 12 noon at the West Jordan City Cemetery, 7800 South 1300 West. Friends and family may call Monday, at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley 1007 W, South Jordan Parkway (10600 So.) from 6-8 p.m.
