RICHARD COLLEY,
HOMEDALE, DIES

     CALDWELL — Richard H. Colley, 61, editor and owner of the Homedale Chronicle since 1931, died Sunday night In the Veterans' hospital in Boise following a week's illness. He had been a resident of Canyon county since 1917.
     Mr. Colley was a Spanish American war veteran. He was discharged from service in 1898.
In 1902 he came west from Kansas and located in Ontario, Ore., where he resided until 1910, when he returned to Marion, Kan., and married Miss Grace L. Miller. Mr. and Mrs. Colley came west in 1914 to Ontario, where Mr. Colley was employed as a teacher in the Ontario schools.
In 1917, they took up a homestead near Huston, Idaho, where , they resided until 1931 when Mr. Colley purchased the Homedale (Owyhee) Chronicle, a weekly paper at Homedale.
     Surviving are his wife, Grace L.; three sons, John Colley of Nyssa, Everett Colley of Moscow, and Kenneth Colley of Caldwell; three daughters, Mabel, Clara, and Virginia Colley, all of Homedale, and four sisters and one brother living in the east.
     The body is at the Peckham funeral chapel, where funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30. Burial will be Sr. Canyon Hill cemetery, Caldwell.
