In 1860 she and her husband lived on a farm in Jackson Township, Greene County, IN. He owned real property worth $300 and personal property valued at $125.

In 1870 she and Alex and their five children lived there. He owned real property worth $1500 and personal property valued at $350.

In 1880 she and her husband and their ten children lived there.

In 1900 just she and Alex lived there. They owned their farm, with a mortgage.

In 1910 she and her husband and their son Lloyd lived there. They no longer had a mortgage on their farm.

In 1920 she lived there by herself, although her children and grandchildren no doubt checked in on her fairly often.
-------------------
Alcinda was united in marriage to Alexander Wright Nov. 17, 1859. To this union, eleven children were born, namely: Richard, Jonas, Charles, Lloyd, Homer, Mrs. Ellen Shanks, Mrs. Melissa Roberts, Mrs. Martha Rose, Mrs. Rosa Burnett, Mrs. Rebecca Crabbe, and Mrs. Amy Roberts. Surrounded by the disadvantages incident to pioneer life, Alcinda and Alexander toiled day after day for fifty-four years to establish and maintain a home for their children. Alcinda loved her home and no one was more faithful in discharging her duties as a wife and mother than she. She united with the Christian Church at Dresden early in life under the pastorate of Isaiah "Daddy" Fields.

She remained a Christian until death. As a neighbor she was kind and good. Was always willing to lend a helping hand in time of need. Her last admonition to her children was to live a Christian and meet her in the great beyond. She prayed good will and Jesus's blessings to all. She spent almost her entire life where she died, moving there with her husband at the age of sixteen. She is survived by her eleven children, fifty-two grandchildren, and two great-great-grand children, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Additional Note:
Alcinda's father, Thomas Jefferson Hardesty, died before 1870 and is said to be buried at Tunnel Hill near Owensburg, Greene Co, IN.
