Marguerite C. Smith, 98, of 237 Third St., Hanover, died Wednesday, Aug. 4, at her home.
Born in Edgegrove, she was the daughter of the late John and Laura Jane Lawrence Livelsberger.
She was the wife of the late Timothy F. Smith, who died in 1963.
She was a member of St. Vincent's Church in Hanover, National Council of Catholic Women of the church and Rosary and Alter Society of the church.
She is survivied by three daughters, Regina C. Murren, Mary M. Groft and Loretta J. Hertz all of Hanvoer, four sons, James C. Smith of Hanover, Mark S. Smith of New Oxford, Donald F. Smith of Thomasville and Carroll T. Smith of McSherrystown; 33 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, meeting 8:30 a.m. at Hicks Funeral Home, McSherrystown followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Vincents Church at 10 a.m. with her pastor, Msgr. Hurbert J. McGuire and her nephew the Rev. Thomas H. Smith, the Celebrants. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Basilica Cemetery, Edge Grove.
