She was born April 23, 1916, in Grant County, W. Va., and was the daughter of the late Edward Vance and Virginia (Crites) Vance.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lane G. Huffman, on Dec. 3, 1984; one grandson, Bradley Lee Huffman; one son-in-law, Paul Bennett; seven brothers, Wilbur, Thomas, Jake, Fred, Walter "Bill", Jim and John Vance; and five sisters, Grace Sites, Ruth Whetzel, Elsie Sites, Ethel Hines and Rose Thorne.
She was a homemaker and member of Bethel Church of the Brethren.
Surviving are three sons, Victor Lane Huffman and wife Alma, of Petersburg, W. Va., Donald Lee Huffman and wife Donna, of Petersburg, W. Va., and Gerald W. Huffman and wife Myra, of Petersburg, W. Va., four daughters, Judy Lane Lough and husband Gerald, of Petersburg, W. Va., Mary Ann Bennett, of Alexandria, Va., Nancy L. Webster and husband Kenneth, of Moorefield, W. Va., and Peggy Lynn Huffman, of Falling Waters, W. Va.; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 8 step-great-grandchildren; one step-great-great-grandson; one sister, Lena Thorne, of Petersburg, W. Va.; one brother, Glenn H. Vance, of Dorcas, W. Va., and a special caregiver, Barbara Hedrick.
Family will receive friends on Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home.
Services will be conducted in the Schaeffer Funeral Home on Tuesday at 1 p.m., with the Rev Gregory A. Rotruck and Brother Dayton Lewis officiating.
Burial will be in South Branch Valley Memorial Gardens, Petersburg, W. Va.
