Note 3: The Michigan death record for Joel indicates that he died at age 84Y 6M 6D, which would put his birth year in 1792. The Clough Genealogy text indicates that he was born in 1795 (and his sister Lucy was born in Feb. 1792). The 1795 birth date for Joel is supported by the 1870 census and his marriage record (with Betsey Downing).
