Ray Quinn Alexander was the youngest son and last surviving child of Mollie Ray Alexander and James William Alexander. Ray said "they had run out of names by the time I was born" He was named for his mother, Mollie Ray, and for his father's first wife, Mary Quinn. He was born in Gwinnett County, lived in Rome, Atlanta, and finally Lilburn, GA.

Among his hobbies was woodworking and he built beautiful birdhouses. He was renowned for his wonderful sense of humor. He was survived by his wife, one son, and one grandson. He is missed.
