Neal C. "Skip" Estridge, age 77, of Brookville, Indiana died Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at the Brookville Healthcare Center in Brookville, Indiana.
Born April 14, 1933 in Franklin County, Indiana he was the son of the late Eli & Margaret (Edelman) Estridge. He remained a lifelong resident of Franklin County, and was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict.
On July 7, 1956 he and the former Bonnie Sampson were united in marriage and she survives.
He was a member of the Brookville Church of Christ. He was employed for over 32 years at the Brookville Firestone, and had also driven a school bus for the Franklin County Community School Corporation for 14 years. In his leisure time he enjoyed playing pool at the Franklin County Senior Center in Brookville.
Besides Bonnie, his wife of over 54 years, survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Joy (Eric) Willams of Louisville, Kentucky, Jill (Dave) Caudill of Brookville, Indiana and Julie (Mic) Lee of Brookville, Indiana; five grandchildren, Kyle Williams, Kelli Williams, Aaron Caudill, Jarred Harrison and Jacob Lee; one great-granddaughter, Khloe Caudill; five sisters, Margaret Meyers of Batesville, Indiana, Emma Lou Grimes of Wayland, Michigan, Virginia Turner of Connersville, Indiana, Martha Hunter of Indianapolis, Indiana, Linda Barker of Hamilton, Ohio; three brothers, Dick Estridge of Brookville, Indiana, Delbert Estridge of Columbus, Ohio and Larry Estridge of Camden, Ohio.
Pastor Perry Booso of the Brookville Church of Christ will officiate the Funeral Services on Saturday, December 4, 2010, 10:30 A.M., at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville. Burial with full Military Graveside Honors by the Bernard Hurst Post #77 of the American Legion will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville.
