Mildred Frances Klippel was the daughter of Ernest Charles Klippel and Ruth Fisher Klippel. She married Loren D. Shaff on June 25, 1946.

Mildred Frances Klippel Shaff, 77, died unexpectedly at 1:13 PM Monday, March 13, 1995, in Lafayette Home Hospital. Born Nov. 18, 1917, in Lafayette, she had lived here most of her life. She was a graduate of St. Francis Girls School. Her marriage to Loren D. Shaff was on June 25, 1946, in Lafayette; he died May 23, 1984.

Mrs. Shaff was a homemaker and, at one time, had worked at Loeb's Department Store. She was a 77-year member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. She worked at St. Boniface White Elephant Shop, and was a member of St. Boniface Altar Society.

Surviving are a son, Robert Shaff; a sister, Betty Mellady; and a brother, Ernie Klippel, all of Lafayette; two grandchildren, one great-grandson; also three nieces and 15 nephews. Preceded in death by a brother, Charles Klippel.
