Betty Jean Jones, 81, Kansas City, died Aug 6 2005, at Kansas City Hospital. She had lung cancer. She was born June 19 1924, in Manhattan. Mrs. Jones worked for the International Brotherhood of Boilmakers before retiring. Survivors include a son, Brian K Jones, of the home; a daughter, Sharon L McGaffic, Greenville, SC; four sisters, Blanche Area, Holton, Hazel Reese, Overland Park, Doris McMullen, Showlow, Arizona and Dorothy Ashley, Phoenix, Ariz;a brother, Robert Haber, Scottsdale, Ariz; two granddaughters, Cynthia Ann Horton, Kingsport, Tenn, and Rebecca Lynn Driscoll, Taylor SC; and a great granddaughter, Kasey Lynn Driscoll. Memorial services were held Aug 10 at Highland Funeral Home in Kansas City.
