Mrs. Getrude Doerr Lubker, age sixty-four, former school teacher and life-long county resident, died at Schneck Memorial Hospital Sunday morning after an illness of five days duration. Death was attributed to pneumonia.
Mrs. Lubker, who was a teacher in the rural schools of Jackson county for twenty-five years, resided on Brownstown R2 and was widely known throughout the county. Through her profession she knew many people who, as her former pupils, also mourn her death. She was a member of the Tampico Baptist Church.
Mrs. Lubker was born April 1, 1880, in Jackson county, the daughter of Philip and Cordelia Waskom Doerr, deceased. She was married November 26, 1925, in Jackson county, to Martin H. Lubker, who survives.
Besides the husband, she is survived by two brothers: Hubert A. Doerr, of Indianapolis, formerly of Seymour, and Lawrence O. Doerr, of Fargo, North Dakota.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon from the home on Brownstown R2, about three miles north of Tampico, and at 2:30 o'clock from the Tampico Baptist Church, with the Rev. John Cassidy, pastor, in charge. Burial will be in the Lubker family cemetery, near the home.
Friends may call at the home after noon Tuesday.
