Solomon Black was the son of James Pring Black and Mary Howard Dykes. He married twice, first to Mary Elizabeth Harrison in 1865, and then to Deliah Burgin in 1870. He had 10 children, and farmed in Rock Creek, TN (near Del Rio).
He died in 1916 from, as best as I can make out, "canser from ?????? cancer coupled with the lungs". He left behind a widow, Deliah, who died seven years later. They are both buried in the Black Family Cemetery.
