Albert Tiffin applied for homestead entry on Aug. 18, 1911 for Fraction of NE36-35-15W4, south of Castor, Alberta, near Sullivan Lake. He had previously been farming at Bothwell, Ontario. Albert moved onto his homestead in Nov. 1911, building a 10x16 frame house, a stable and granary, and received his land patent on February 26, 1915. The 1916 census shows his mother, Nellie, was living with him on his farm.
