Orrie Arnold Grubaugh was born in 1919 to Roy Franklin Grubaugh and Muriel Georgiana Ford. She was the 4th of their 7 children. Her parents had moved from the Cleveland area to Detroit just prior to Orrie's birth. They returned to the Cleveland area sometime between 1925 and 1930. Orrie married Lester John Albrecht on 20 Jan 1940 in Cuyahoga County, OH. They had two sons, Lawrence E. Albrecht and James W. Albrecht. Lester died in 1979. Orrie married Dudley Gilmore Black in 1983. He died in 1998 and Orrie never remarried. Orrie was cremated and her ashes were strewn over the Civil War Reunion property of the 103rd Ohio Volunteer Infanty in Sheffield Lake, Lorain County, OH. The ashes of Orrie's first husband, Lester, were strewn over the same property.

Orrie Albrecht-Black (nee: Grubaugh), 88 years of age, and a resident of Sheffield Lake, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2007 at Anchor Lodge Nursing Home in Lorain following a brief illness.
She was born March 19, 1919 in Dearborn, Michigan, where she was raised and graduated from the Fairview High School Class of 1938. Orrie moved to Sheffield Lake and began spending her winters in Florida in 1976.
She was employed by the North Olmsted School system as a baker. Orrie was a member of the 103rd Ohio Volunteer Infantry Descendents of Civil War Association.
Survivors include her sons Lawrence E. Albrecht of Strongsville, OH and James W. Albrecht of Sheffield Lake; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and her sister Myrrhis Dryer of Carlsbad, California.
She was preceded in death by her first husband of thirty-nine years, Lester J. Albrecht in 1979; by her second husband of fifteen years, Dudley G. Black in 1998; by her parents Roy Franklin, in 1964, and Muriel Georgiana Grubaugh (nee: Ford), in 1984; and by two brothers and two sisters.
Services will be held privately by the family.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the 103rd Ohio Volunteer Infantry Memorial Foundation.
Arrangements are being handled by the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst, OH 44001.
