Rev. Emmons was reared and educated in Winn Parish and was a member of the Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife and three sons, G. R. [sic S. R.] Emmons of Baton Rouge, J. R. Emmons of Houston, Tex., and J. M. Emmons of Shreveport; one brother, G. E. Emmons of Winn Parish [sic S. C. Emmons of Tioga]; five sisters [sic six daughters], Mrs. A. A. Crain of Sikes, Mrs. L. G. Womack of Chatham, Mrs. J. F. Bowen of Wyatt, Mrs. L. T. Newsom of Lake Charles, and Mrs. G. C. Kidd of Sikes [and Mrs. Myrtice Howze of Tyler, Tex.]; [and one sister, Mrs. Frances Jane Rolen].
