Abbie Botner Partlow Huscher died Sunday, June 3, 2001, at her daughter's home in Paso Robles.
A memorial service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Paso Robles Moose Lodge. Burial will take place Aug. 4, at the Botner Family Cemetery in Travellers Rest, Ky.
Mrs. Huscher was bon in Travellers Rest, Ky., the last of six children. She joined the Woman's Army Corps in early 1945; was trained as a nurse; transferred to California; and was discharged in mid-1947. She married and raised four children. She lived in Chino for more than 25 years, where she worked for the school and was active in the Girl Scouts, PTA and numerous other community and church functions.
She moved to Muscoy, where she worked at Clairemont Manor as a nurse for more than 20 years and remained active in the Methodist Church. She relocated to Paso Robles in 1995.
Mrs. Huscher is survived by four children, Wayne D. Partlow of Lancaster, Joyce A. Armstrong of Carmichael and Kenneth R. Partlow of Paso Robles; 10 grandchildren; and her sister, Mavis Smith of Corbis, Ky.
