She was born in Brigham City, Utah to Henry Oakley and Vilate Jensen Durfey.

On June 30, 1947 she married Virgil B. Anderson in the Logan Temple. They have three children, Pamela Ilene (Terry) Schmidt, Lynn Virgil (Dorte) Anderson, Steven Durfey (Jeanne) Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, and brother.

She is survived by her husband; children; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and sisters, Iris (Paul) Vance, Mesa, Arizona, Vienna Kelly, Castaic, California and Carol Kislan, West Bountiful.
