He was born January 14, 1934 in Winslow, Arkansas to Clifford I. and Jewell Sebourn Deen.
He was a United States Army veteran. Deen was a retired mechanic for JTL and was a member of Elmdale Baptist Church."Uncle Cotton" to his nieces and nephews, he was an avid outdoorsman and first rate mechanic. He loved tractors, the music of Bob Wills, and his dog Gretchen. He will be remembered for his slight frame, large appetite and hearty laugh. He and his wife were lifelong residents of Springdale. In their retirement years, they enjoyed volunteering at the Jones Center for Families.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty Lou Deen of the home, one sister, Joanne Baker of Springdale.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday December 27, 2013 at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale. Burial will follow at Bluff Cemetery.
