Oliver's burial in Zion Citizens Cemetery is inferred from the fact that he lived near there and from the burial of his wife, Rachel, there later, and from the burial of his parents there, as well as the burials of one or more of his children there, but there may be no surviving tombstone for Oliver. Can anyone confirm?

An error on the Internet, calling him Oliver "Harper" Perry Hanna, has been widely repeated. Oliver, born 1813, was obviously named after the great War of 1812 Naval hero Oliver Hazard Perry. The error of "Harper" comes from the fact that Oliver had a brother called Harper who was named for another famous War of 1812 figure, Gen. Robert Goodloe Harper.

The late Betty Ann Barnard Montoye self-published a 78-page book titled The Hanna Family: 1744-1974. On p. after naming Rachel Gillam as Oliver H. P. Hanna's first wife, Betty wrote, "Two months after Rachel's death, Oliver married again, this time to Ohio-born Elizabeth Stinebaugh, in July, 1856. Elizabeth certainly took on a huge responsibility in assuming the care of this large family. A third marriage for Oliver is listed and also a child, Martin, from this union but this has not been authenticated." A footnote following the word authenticated says simply, "Family invformation from Neva Sexton of Kokomo, Indiana." [Martin would be Martin G. Hanna, born abt 1866 in Indiana.]
