NEWARK: A memorial reception for Don J. Holeton will be held 5-7P.M. Friday, March 30, 2012 at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, 985 North 21st Street, Newark, OH.

Mr. Holeton, age 70, passed away Monday, March 26, 2012 at his home. He was born March 7, 1942 to his parents late James and Sarah (Peoples) Holeton in Youngstown, Ohio. He received his secondary education at Valley Forge Military Academy and would attend The Ohio State University and Otterbein College. Don was involved in retail sales most of his life and was currently employed at Denison University.

He was a member of the Athletic Club of Columbus and former president of the Touchdown Club. He was a former volunteer at the Columbus Zoo, a Free and Accepted Mason and a Civil War buff. He is remembered by family and friends as a philanthropist, as someone with a great sense of humor, a great story teller and as someone who enjoyed the fine arts and a round of golf. He is remembered by his immediate family as a loving father, grandfather and brother.
