Claudia Ann (Holeton) Triplett, age 75, of Newark, passed away on December 22, 2013 at Licking Memorial Hospital. Claudia was born in Youngstown, Ohio on March 4, 1938 to the late James K. and Sarah B. (Peoples) Holeton. The family moved to Newark in 1950. She was a 1956 graduate of Newark High School and a 1960 graduate of Miami University, where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education. She was a member of the Alpha Omicron Pi social sorority. She was active in various Navy Wives organizations; was a volunteer for the American Red Cross at various Naval clinics; was a substitute teacher; and also volunteered at Hospice of Central Ohio. Survivors include her two sons, Michael Thomas Triplett and special friend, Kristen, of Powell and Jonathan S. Triplett and his wife, Tina of Newark; four grandchildren, Conner, Chelsea, Tanner (Heather) and Taylor; great grandchildren, Devin and Tanner Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years, Captain Thomas T. Triplett, US Navy (Ret.); and one brother, Don James Holeton. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Claudia to, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 651 Lakeview Plaza Blvd, Worthington, OH 43085.

At Claudia's request, she will be cremated and buried with her husband's cremated remains at sea at a later date.
