Our dear husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother passed away, Oct. 27th 2005.

He was born 23 Feb. 1920, in Holladay, Utah, to Raymond Orson and Carrie Christensen Andrus, the fifth of nine children.

He married Janeal Neilson on 19 Aug. 1947 in Holladay.

He was a World War II veteran, a master sergeant with the 3rd Signal Company attached to Gen. Patton's 3rd Army. His service included North Africa, Sicily, Italy, France, Austria and Germany.

His career with Mountain Bell (now Qwest) spanned 41 years beginning as a lineman and retiring in 1981 as an Outside Plant Supervisor. He thoroughly enjoyed and valued the friendship of the people with whom he worked.

He enjoyed golf, hunting, fishing, bowling, trips to Alaska, all sports and the camaraderie of his friends.

Survived by his wife of 58 years, his daughter Jolynn Reed (David), son Mark, son Kirk (Julie); five grandchildren, Joel Reed, Carrie Reed, Emily Reed, Brooke Gourley (Jacob) and Jenny Andrus; one great-grandchild, two brothers Niles and Gary (Shirlene); three sisters, Gwen Pierce, Carol Hartle and Beverly Handy.

Preceded in death by parents, brothers Don, Kirk and Steele.
