Raymond "Ray" Aromatorio, 82, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 22, 2013, at his home.
A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. Reverend Jim Cowart will officiate. Visitation will be on Saturday, December 28, 2013, from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., the hour preceding the service. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Mr. Aromatorio was born in Wampum, Pennsylvania, and was the son of the late George and Jennie Bennett Aromatorio. A 1949 Graduate of Wampum High School, he excelled in basketball.
He proudly served our country in the U. S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Ray retired after 49 1/2 years with the Medusa Cement Company as a Tech Service Engineer. He was a proud lifetime member of The American Legion Post 0749 in Wampum, and he was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. His love and dedication to his family and friends was an inspiration to those who knew him. Ray was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Lou Lawson; a sister, Betty Snyder; and a brother, Gene Armatorio.

Left to cherish the memories of Ray are his loving wife of 48 years, Leona R. Aromatorio of Perry: children, Rob Aromatorio (Karen) of Perry, Ray Aromatorio (June) of Santa Barbara, California, and son-in-law, Al Lawson (Dianne) of Swainsboro; his siblings, Angelo Aromatorio (Lillian) of Wampum, Guy Aromatorio of Wampum, Albert Aromatorio (Martha) of Gurley, Alabama, Ron Aromatorio (Toni) of Latrobe, Pennsylvania; his sister-in-law, Karen Armatorio of The Villages, Florida; his granchildren, Samantha Jo Johnson (Riley) of Savannah, Elizabeth Lawson of Swainsboro, Leo Aromatorio of Perry, and Lana Aromatorio of Perry; his great-grandchildren, Braydon Lawson of Swainsboro and Mercer Johnson of Savannah; and many nieces and nephews.
