Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the chapel of the Smith Funeral Home for Robert S. Ridgaway, 85, who died Sunday morning. Interment was in the Garden of Memories. Rev. S. S. Akers of the Kerrville Revival Center and Rev. Sidney Rees officiated at the rites.
A native of Kerr County, he had spent all of his life here and was a ranchman in the Center Point community for many years. After his retirement he and his family came to Kerrville. He had been in failing health for some time, but the death of his only brother, Will Ridgaway, which occurred a few weeks ago, and the sudden death of his son-in-law, A. W. Crick, which occurred last week, proved to be too much for his failing strength.
His immediate survivors are his wife, of the home address; three children, Mrs. A. W. Crick and Robert E. Ridgaway of this city and Willie M. Ridgaway of Paducah, Ky.; one sister, Mrs. Rose Dilly of McAllen; and four grandchildren.
