The 1900 census Tarrant Co, TX he is recorded as Coke, H Priestly, 13 years old. Since the name is quite unusual it would seem reasonable that the census taker would have asked for the spelling rather than just writing down whatever they heard. I believe that this is most likely the intended spelling. HPC note - in the 1980's, 1990's and later, I have inquired of several his close family and none knew the proper spelling of his middle name. 2018, his daughter, my Aunt is still living but does not know how his middle name should be spelled.
