Mr. Thompson moved to Texas in 1921 from Tennessee. He moved to Lockney in 1935 from Hale Center. He was formerly a Santa Fe Railroad foreman, retiring in 1951.
Mr. Thompson married Miss Edna Long on 14 October 1916 in Anadarko, Oklahoma. He was a member of the Kress First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; two sons; two daughters; one brother; two sisters; two grandchildren.
