THREE RIVERS - Adela Margaret Wernli, 89, of Three Rivers, died Saturday, April 17, 2004.

She was born Oct. 7, 1914, in the Ottine Community, Gonzales County, to the late Robert Rokohl and Hermine Stridde. She was a homemaker, former owner of Ray Point Merchantile, and member of Our Savior Lutheran Church.

Survivors: husband, Alvin "Sonny" Wernli; daughter, JoAnn Braune Teague of Pawnee; son, Robert Charles Braune of Victoria; sister, Alma Rokohl Zamzow of Three Rivers; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: first husband, Edmund O. Braune; daughter, Alice Jane Braune Krause; brother, Edward Rokohl; and sister, Hattie Rokohl Magel.

Visitation will be 11a.m.-9 p.m. Monday at Galloway & Sons Chapels.

A prayer service will be 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Three Rivers, the Pastor Norman Sulaica Jr. officiating.

Burial will be at Ray Point Cemetery in the Ray Point Community. Galloway & Sons Inc. Funeral Directors, Three Rivers, 361-786-2752.
