Elizabeth E. Canda passed away at her home in the valley on Tuesday last at 11 p.m., aged 71 years, the cause of death being due to paralysis, of which she had suffered several strokes.

The deceased had formerly lived in Chicago but came to this valley with her husband and their family about seventeen years ago, residing here ever since. She bore the high esteem and respect off all acquaintances here. She was a fond and devoted mother and parent, and her children, while grown, will miss her kind words and affectionate care.

Surviving are three sons, County Commissioner F. S. Canda, Carey and Rockwell B. Canda, and one daughter, Mrs. A. P. Yeoman, to mourn absence. All were present at the funeral.

The funeral was held from the Canda home on Thursday at 10 a.m., the Rev. D. C. Lees of Buena Vista officiating, after which the remains were interred in the Rosita Cemetery, beside the graves of her husband and her daughter, Mrs. F. A. Nelles whose passing preceded hers several years.
