Jed graduated from Davis High. He served in the Texas-Louisiana Mission. He married Patricia Anne Pieper in the Salt Lake Temple on June 12, 1970. He served as counselor in the bishopric, ward clerk, stake missionary and was a counselor in the stake mission presidency. He supported his children as a 4H leader and member of the Clearfield High Booster Club.
He was employed at Hill AFB and Deseret Book. He enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, watching television, movies and traveling with friends.
Jed is survived by his wife, children: Dee Anne (Jared) Squire, Laura (Devin) Prouty, Albert (Babera) McFerson, Larry McFerson and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Beth Martini, David McFerson, and Roy McFerson.
