HUNT, Irene M. age 97, of Port Richey, was call-ed to be with the Lord Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013. Irene was born at home in Reno Township, Iosco County, MI, on Jan. 27, 1916 to the late Matilda Illig and John Brindley. Irene graduated from Wayne State University with a degree in Civil Engineering and retired from the Parke-Davis Company in Detroit, MI, after many years of faithful service. Irene married Wilbur (Wilmer) Hiner Hunt on Nov. 23, 1946. Irene was a devout & lifelong member and officer in the Order of the Eastern Star. Irene is survived by her sister, Dorothy Duletzke; her husband, Earl; as well as her ever loving and vast extended family. Irene was beloved member of the community and a sought after fountain of wisdom. Her love and kindness will be sorely missed. A viewing will be held at Prevatt Funeral Home in Hudson, Monday, Dec. 23rd, from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm, immediately following a funeral service at Prevatt Funeral Home will take place. Interment will be held at Grace Memorial Gardens in Hudson, following the service. In lieu of flowers, Irene and the family ask that donations be made to All Children's Hospital in her honor.
