Lois grew up in Wellsboro, PA where she attended grade school and high school. She was a graduate from Boyd's Business College in Pittsburg, PA.
She was employed for several years at the Free Methodist World Headquarters, Winona Lake, IN as a secretary to Dr. Byron Lampson, the Director of the Department of World Missions.
On April 30, 1951 she married Rev. Lyle Donnelly in Greenvile, IL. They moved to Oklahoma City in 1967 and both became employed at Deaconess Hospital. Lois began to Volunteer Program at Deaconess Hospital and served as the director for eleven years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle, on April 15, 1999; her parents; two brothers, and three sisters.
She is survived by two step children: a step son, Dr. Bruce Donnelly, and his wife, Evelyn, of Bridgeton, MO; a step daughter, Edith Boldman, and her husband Elza, of Oklahoma City, OK; 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
