Colby Phonograph, dated 19 Mar 1891:

Died, at her home on Thursday, March 12th, 1891, of bronchitis, Mrs. J. M. Dailey, in the 80th year of her age.

Mrs. J. M. Dailey, whose maiden name was Naomi Bradway, was born at Munson, Mass., July 22, 1811. She was married to Leander Chapin Oct. 21, 1824, seven children being born to them. After her husband's death she was married to Jos. Thresher April 27, 1843, and gave birth to six children. Aug. 16, 1868, she was married the third time, her husband J. M. Dailey now surviving her. Nearly all of her children also survive the death of their mother. The family moved from Fond du Lac to Colby, Clark Co., Wis. in 1873 and have since made it their residence.

Mrs. Dailey was a woman of high Christian character and kind disposition. Unobtrusive, gentle, hers was an influence always promotive of good. Sympathetic to a high degree, and charitable to all, her presence and her aid were freely given to alleviate suffering. She was well known by people in this vicinity, and none knew her but to respect and love her. Her loss will be deeply felt, and a host of friends will extend sympathy to the relatives who survive her. She died a Christian woman having rounded out a life of good deeds, and duties well performed, at the great age of eight years.

The funeral services were held at the M. E. Church Sunday morning, Rev. Thos. Biggar officiating.
