The maiden name could also be Myers.

Elizabeth Mayers Elliott was born in 1763 or 1770 in Savannah, GA. She married Thomas Elliott (1761-1805) who was a Patriot and served as Lieutenant and "Aide-de-camp" to General Frances Marion in the Revolutionary War 3 Jul 1781 - 14 Dec 1782. (Source: Note 1408, Unwanted Patience and Fortitude, Francis Marion's Orderly Book, by Patrick O'Kelly, Page 699, Infinity Publishing, 1094 New Haven St., West Conshohocken, PA. 19428, 2006.) They married between 1790 and 1792 in South Carolina or Georgia.

They had the following children:
Willis Orrin Elliott (1793-1860)
Edward Elliott (1794-1862)
William David Elliott (1795-1865)

At the time the children were born they were living in a portion of Warren County that would become Jefferson County, GA. The family may have moved on to Spanish West Florida by 1799.

It is possible that Elizabeth died in Georgia before her husband and sons moved or could have died on their way from Georgia to Spanish West Florida or even after they got there.

It is projected that she died before 1805 because that is when her husband Thomas wrote a will which does not mention her.

Probably she died before 1799 because a reference to a Thomas Elliott arriving in New Feliciana, West Florida is found in the book "Anglo Americans in Spanish Archives" Pg 64. And it does not indicate Elizabeth.

The cause and place of death and burial site of Elizabeth and her husband are not known. Any information regarding them is greatly appreciated.
