Brown, Ellis (May 26, 1880 - February 16, 1948)

Funeral services for Ellis Brown, age 67, of the Town of Weston, will be held at 1:30 Thursday afternoon, February 19, at the Georgas Funeral Home. The Rev. Floyd A Fahlgren, pastor of the United Methodist Church, will officiate and burial will be made in the Town of Weston Cemetery at Christie.

Mr. Brown died suddenly Monday morning following a heart attack. He had gone with his twin brother, Elmer, to the woods to cut wood and soon after reaching the woods was stricken, dying within a few minutes.

He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Brown and was born May 26, 1880, in the Town of Weston. All of his life was spent in this community. He attended the rural schools and has lived on farms in his home township.

Surviving is his twin brother, Elmer; a brother Clarence Brown and a sister, Ethel (Len) Boon all of Weston. Three brothers, Lewis, Rosco, and Eddie all of Neillsville are deceased, as are three sisters, Luella (John) Kaudy, Neillsville, Stella (Rueben) Wilson, River Falls, and Alice (Henry) Sischo, Rapid River, MI.

Many of Mr. Brown's nieces and nephews reside in this community.
