Gordon was a Club Vice President for two years, President for two years and the long time Net-Control for the Brown Bag Lunch Bunch and the Midnight Turnip Patch Net.
Gordon was the man to call on for directions to and from anywhere in Atlanta. I believe he held the record for the most check-ins on the most nets in Atlanta. If there was an event held by the Alford Club or GARS, Gordon was probably there, ready to operate in any capacity - as long it was from his trusty van. As far as I know he was loved by everyone and will be missed by us all for many years to come. There are many hams in the Atlanta area that got their "Ticket" because of Gordon, as he welcomed everyone as a friend.
