In the year of 1931 they moved to the city of Cuba to operate a station for the Jerpe Cream Company and retiring from this business ten years later on account of Mr. Klaumann's failing health. She spent approximately nine years taking care of an invalid husband; also clerked at different stores in her home town. Much of her time was spent as a clerk at the Simek's store, where she always had a smile and friendly greeting for everyone.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, who passed away June 27, 1954; a brother, Joe, who passed away March 16, 1956. and also one sister and three brothers, who died in infancy.
Surviving are her two daughters, Mary Barton of Cuba, Kan., and Viola Giblin of Groves, Tex.; two sisters, Mrs. Frances Havel and Mrs. Tillie Soustek, both of Cuba; two brothers, Edward M. of Cuba and Will of Narka, 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
